Cookie policy

What this website stores on your device, why, and how to change your mind. The short version: one record of your own consent choice, and nothing else.

What we do not do

It is easier to start here, because it is most of the answer.

  • No advertising cookies, and no advertising networks.
  • No cross-site or cross-device tracking, and no profiling.
  • No social media pixels — the LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram links in our footer are ordinary links, and load nothing until you click them.
  • No third-party requests of any kind. Even our typefaces are served from calmocean.no rather than from Google Fonts, so no outside company sees that you visited.

What is actually stored

That is the entire list. It is local storage rather than a cookie, which means it is never attached to a network request and never sent to us — it only ever exists in your own browser.

Anonymous visit measurement

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookie and writes nothing to your device, which is why it does not appear in the table above.

It records the page address, the site that referred you, your country, your device type and browser, and the time. Visitors are counted by a hash of the incoming request that is thrown away after 24 hours. Our privacy policy explains this in full.

Because it stores nothing on your device, the Norwegian and EU cookie rules — which are about storing and reading data on your device — do not apply to it, so there is no consent for us to ask for and none for you to give. We tell you it is happening instead.

If you would rather not be counted

There is no switch here to offer you, because there is nothing stored on your device to switch off. What we can tell you is what actually works:

Being counted costs you nothing and tells us nothing about you personally — the figures we see are numbers per page, per country and per device type, with no identifier connecting one visit to another.
