Recycling
We know the process of sustainable recycling. The Calmocean team has successfully recycled more than 150 vessels in accordance with the EU Regulation on Ship Recycling. We work only with pre-approved recycling yards, and we stay on site until the job is finished and documented.
Scope
We facilitate the following
- Project evaluation — feasible recycling yards depending on vessel location, type and size
- Yard audits
- Contract negotiation — we only work with pre-approved recycling yards
- Regulatory assistance — EU Ship Recycling Regulation, EU Waste Shipment Regulation and the Basel Convention. We know the legal requirements and will facilitate any required process on behalf of the asset owner
- Preparation and planning before delivery
- Delivery assistance — we facilitate the delivery and closing process
- ESG-focused monitoring and supervision during recycling, including daily and weekly cloud-based reporting
- All required reporting after completion — a completion report is delivered, and different regulations require different methods of post-project reporting
