Growing Our Team in India: Welcome Prabhu and Veera
India remains one of the most active ship recycling destinations in the world, and Alang continues to handle a significant share of global tonnage. As we remain committed to helping the recycling space in India make the next jump in their performance, having a strong, experienced team on the ground there is central to how we deliver for our clients. With this in mind we are glad to introduce two new additions to our India operations.
Prabhu holds a degree in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering from AMET, Chennai, and is a certified lead auditor with deep expertise in green ship recycling supervision and auditing. He brings extensive knowledge of ship inspections, shipbuilding production processes and shipyard practices.
Veera also holds a BE in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering from AMET University, with more than five years in ship recycling. He holds HazMat certification from IRS, the NEBOSH IGC, and BOSIET certification. All of these qualifications provide a strong foundation for the work we carry out across Indian yards. Both Prabhu and Veera bring exactly the kind of hands-on, yard-level experience that makes a real difference when you are trying to understand what is actually going on at a facility. We are glad to have them on the team.
